AI & Data Solutions Architect

We are looking for an AI & Data Solutions Architect to join Datasparq and bring the breadth and depth of our technical capability to life for clients and prospects. Your role is to connect cutting‑edge data and AI innovation with the tangible business problems and value opportunities our clients have. You’ll be the technical authority representing Datasparq, whilst being a valuable technical thought-partner for our clients, giving them confidence that we see beyond the hype and know how to turn innovation into real, measurable outcomes.

This is a role for a technical leader who’s energised by AI, data, and the thrill of solving complex problems in the real-world. You’ll dive into new challenges, shape how we apply emerging technologies, and play a defining role in the direction of a growing consultancy.

• AI Authority: You will take the lead in defining Datasparq’s stance on emerging tech, specifically our point of view on Generative AI and Agentic AI. You’ll work closely with the Datasparq engineering team to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, ensuring we aren't just reacting to client questions, but leading the conversation with a clear, authoritative methodology. Your perspectives will inform how we work at Datasparq, our collaboration and engagements with current clients and prospects, and our presence across the wider industry through events and thought‑leadership.
• Pre-Sales and Growth: You’ll meet prospective clients and channel your curiosity and energy for technology into showing them the art of the possible in a way that genuinely resonates. You’ll also help shape the technical approaches we propose to balance proven, reliable foundations with the introduction of targeted innovation where it actually moves the needle, all while avoiding unnecessary complexity.  Your clarity and assuredness will inspire confidence and win over stakeholders, establishing you as a trusted thought partner for them. You will play a hands-on role in developing project proposals, estimations and pricing.
• Rapid Innovation: You’ll be hands-on, building prototypes to demonstrate how the latest emerging trends in AI can be used to solve real world problems for our clients, stimulating ideas with prospects and inspiring our internal teams.
• Hands-on delivery: You stay grounded by being actively involved in key projects, providing architectural oversight to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and grounded in proven patterns, while stepping in to resolve complex technical challenges that require deep expertise. You’ll serve as a credible counterpart to senior technical client stakeholders, such as CTOs, helping translate strategic priorities into sound technical decisions and building confidence in the direction of the work. You’ll also play a hands-on role in delivery of our AI strategy projects.
• Technical leadership collaboration: Alongside our engineering leads in delivery, you will define reference architectures and approaches for our most frequently delivered solutions.

• Impact orientation: You’ll be motivated by how the latest data and AI technologies can help business and people do things better, faster and cheaper. You’ll bring together your enthusiasm for technological innovation and a grounded, practical view of how it’s applied to create meaningful impact and clear, demonstrable outcomes for our clients.
• Practical curiosity: You’ll be the type of person who tests out new technology on personal projects “just to see how it works”, building understanding through practical demonstrations, but who also understands that rapidly proving a concept is not the same as engineering enterprise-grade solutions.
• Strategic Technical Authority: You have strong, well-reasoned views on the future of Agentic AI. You can walk into a room and explain not just what it is, but how a business can benefit from it and should deploy it (and where they shouldn’t!)
• The Battle Scars: You’ve built and scaled complex data solutions. You know what it takes to do it well and what happens when things go wrong, why they go wrong, and how to fix them.
• Technical Respect: While you won't directly manage the delivery team, you will command the respect of our engineers and data scientists through your experience, expertise, clarity and passion. You are the "North Star" for our technical direction.
• Cloud Fluency: You hold a professional certification (eg cloud architect) in at least one major cloud data platform (Databricks, GCP, Azure, or AWS) and will, ideally, be an active participant in that cloud’s community.
